Kalonzo argues that Wetangula through his position as senate minority leader has been playing a key part in the push for  electoral justice in the country.

Speaking to journalists at Stoni  Hotel in Athi River during the party National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on Tuesday, Musyoka said Wetangula’s ouster is a big blow to NASA.

The Wiper Party leader  noted that NASA might not remain the same moving forward, adding that Siaya senator James Orengo should decline the senate minority leader position for the interest of the country’s reforms.

“Wetangula has been instrumental in the push for electoral reforms and his removal as the senate minority leader is going to have a negative impact moving forward as NASA,” the former Vice President said.

Kalonzo noted that ODM’s move to oust the Bungoma senator without consulting the NASA summit amounts to highest level of betrayal.

He said that the NASA summit had agreed for Wetangula to continue serving as the senate minority leader.

“We thought ODM senators were going to rescind their decision after the NASA summit agreed on Wetangula to continue serving as the minority leader but we are shocked at the turn of the events,” he said.

Wetangula was de-whipped on Tuesday after nineteen NASA senators voted to oust the Ford Kenya party leader.

The senators voted for James Orengo to replace the Bungoma senator.

Meanwhile, Kalonzo has refuted claims that he alongside Amani National Congress (ANC) Party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya Moses Wetangula are not in bad terms with ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

Kalonzo said that they are in good terms with Raila.

The Wiper Party leader  stated  that they have been in constant communication with the former Prime Minister despite the issues facing the NASA coalition.
