This week may have marked the beginning of the end of Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula’s political career.

It was a week in which the senator’s younger brother, Fred Wetangula, led a large group of the youth in Ford Kenya party to Jubilee. For starters, this is not any other political defection.

Fred Wetangula is the operative who has been doing the dirty work for the senator over the years, and the main man behind the political career of the NASA pentagon member.

Fred has been in charge of Wetangula’s campaigns since 1992. He has been arrested by police multiple times over suspected involvement in violence for the sake of the big bother’s political success. In short, no one has more secrets of the Ford Kenya leader’s dirty past than Fred Wetangula.

When leaving the party for Jubilee, Fred said Mr Wetangula was selfish in his choice of candidates for various seats in Bungoma County.

“Enough is enough. We will no longer support Ford Kenya. We have been used for long but only Moses benefits," Fred Wetang ula said.

Fred, with his large group of passionate youths from Ford Kenya, has met Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka, Jubilee Party key point man in Western region, and has declared his support for President Uhuru Kenyatta and his re-election campaign.

It will be hard for Wetangula to convince other voters from the region to rally behind NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga. The one question he is likely to face is why people who barely know him should trust him when his own brother had deserted him for the Jubilee Party.

To end Wetangula’s career, Fred may decide to reveal never-told-before scandals involving the senator, and shed more light on how Wetangula benefitted the sale of the Kenyan embassy property in Japan.

“The man has been using us to fight his wars only to end up rewarding the highest bidders. We are going to expose him,” Fred said, as quoted by Kenyans.co.ke.

To worsen things, Fred may work against Wetangula’s senatorial campaign. He is more than capable of ending the Senate minority leader’s political career.
