The perennial rule of the political dynasties in Kenyan politics, Kenyatta, Moi and Oginga families, is now clearly evidence after the handshake between Opposition chief Raila Odinga and president Kenyatta, whose hefty have been increased after Raila met former president Moi.
These unexpected occasions have left many anticipating of the possible combinations come 2022 and one of them might be the combination of Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and Raila’s daughter Winnie Odinga.
During the meeting at Harambee House, Winnie accompanied her father even though her role in the agreement still remains unclear.
In addition, the controversial political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi had said that Winnie Odinga will be the first Kenyan woman president and Gideon Moi has also shown his interest for the presidency come 2022.
“His [Raila] daughter Winnie Odinga would become the first woman president of Kenya,” Mutahi opined.
Since they come from the political dynasties and with support from the Kenyatta family, they are likely to form the perfect duo to beat any aspirant, including DP William Ruto whose presidential ambitions are now in a limbo.
The Kikuyu-Kalenjin alliance still holds but in a different perspective, the GEMA nation will support a Kalenjin who will not be Ruto but Gideon Moi since the dynasties have decided to put their interests first.
