Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi has now faulted Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu for visiting his constituency in the company of Jubilee leaders.
Speaking a day after a section of youths in Mwingi disrupted an event at Mwingi town's Musila Gardens, where the first time governor was expected to attend, the lawmaker.
He said that Ngilu had betrayed the opposition by maintaining ties with Jubilee even after vowing to back Kamba unhappy. He also questioned why the governor invited him yet it is his constituency.
“All leaders from Ukambani met at Koma in Machakos County and we agreed to work together. Governor Ngilu also pledged to support our initiative as Wiper Party, why would she tour my constituency in the company of Jubilee allies?” he said.
The governor has said that she does not need permission before she can tour any part of the county. The lawmaker insisted that it is evident Ngilu still has links with Jubilee.
He, however, said that he respects the governor following her election into the post.
“I have a lot of respect for our governor, but why would she choose not to invite me to her event in my constituency?” asked the MP.
