They will be called names if they try the same. Women are pressured to keep their feelings only for one man, the same man might be having several alternatives.
A new study asked both men and women from different parts of the world, between the age of 19 and 37 how they felt about their recent one night stands.
It was revealed that only one in three women were happy about their casual sex encounter, but more than 50 percent of men said they were happier with the unplanned encounter.
In fact, more men regret when the woman says no to one-night stands, while eight out of 10 women reported being glad to have refused.
The research team attributes a woman's regret to a number of different reasons that include women generally being more worried about spontaneous decisions than men.
They also worry more about potentially dangerous situations, pregnancy, STIs, and their reputation.
The study found that the men typically enjoyed sex more because more men reported achieving orgasms during one night stands than women did.
Even with all those contributing factors, the researchers believe the main reason is psychological evolution caused by thousands of years of society reinforcing standards that program women to regret casual sexual encounters.
