Police brutalities, impeding Supreme Court challenge and dissatisfaction from the opposition are among reasons why Uhuru Kenyatta's victory has not gotten a node from World Super powers, says Gideon Mamboleo.
Until now, only Uganda, Burundi and Somali governments have recognized Uhuru's landslide victory in presidential repeat poll.
"Many people have repeatedly been killed by the police and this cannot be entertained by the advanced democracies," he says.
Moments after electoral body declared Uhuru the winner, Western envoys led by Robert Godec called for prosecution of police believed to have tortured opposition supporters.
Yet again, a possible Supreme Court challenge may have also guided the scenario given that many countries were 'ashamed' of endorsing Uhuru in the nullified August victory.
"There could be a legal challenge and this even complicates the matter. They might take longer before recognizing him."
The opposition team has vowed to resist against the government as their part to push for fresh presidential elections in 90 days.
