Since “Obomo bwo Omogusii” was endorsed by leaders from the region led by Senator Chris Obure as their chairman, Deputy Governor Joash Maangi former CIC chairman Joash Maangi with 8 MPs from the region has been criticised by some people but it will be hard for someone to underate the team.
One doesn’t need rocket science to understand the force the team is using and they have vowed to work together with a common agenda of uniting the community.
For instance, people have been saying that the ‘Omugusii team’ will go nowhere I want to say that the team has positioned themselves well. In Bobasi constituency where Obure comes from it is believed that the current Member of Parliament Stephen Manoti who was rivals with him are now together.
Senator Obure has been saying that political parties have been hindering development hence they decided to come together.
This indicates that they have come together for the common agenda which to many can not be seen.
Coming together with 8 members of parliament and Members of County assembly is not an easy fete even if you get criticism from elsewhere.
If the members are going to be together up to the next polls it will change the direction of politics in Kisii County .
