The bacteria that infest a pimple and cause the production of pus is called Acne vulgaris and Propionibacterium acnes. The clogging can be because of dead cells. 

They happen not only during adolescence by at all age. However, it is common during adolescence because during that stage, hormone production changes making the sebaceous glands to become overactive.

When you have pimples, you need to avoid humid, sweaty environments. You also need to maintain good skin moisture levels. Dietary speaking, you need to take a lot of nuts to prevent/reduce inflammation. Do not scrub the pimples. Avoid oily skin products and instead, go for dry skin products.
