A fabric is made up of warps and wefts of strands. These strands are made of smaller threads that are woven together. By the time a fabric is ready for use, it’s passed through cold and heat.

It gets subjected to the heat of the iron and various paint works. For the fabric to be turned into an outfit, it gets subjected again to the scissors and sharp needles.

Life is no exception to these rigorous processes. The person that experiences the toughest issues of life more often than not comes forth as gold. The athlete that suffers the most as they expend their energies and resist the greatest pain through resilience and old-fashioned tenacity is the one that often wins a medal.

The student that spends most of his hours studying and revising often gets the highest grades. It’s, therefore no secret that the troubles that visit humanity are a blessing in disguise. Anyone who goes beyond the surface of trouble tends to get the underlying gemstone. Those who scratch the surface of life’s vicissitudes end up bitter and disgruntled.

They employ feelings of resentment where their character ought to be purified. Heat burns some but purifies others. Those who faint in the day of adversity have little strength. As the New Year begins, resolve to take the pain in stride and turn it into something glorious.

See your family difficulties as a process that will make the fabric of your character strong and beautiful at the same time. Always ask yourself why you’re going through the trouble and never substitute your training sessions for anything easier. Success isn’t found on the easy path. It’s found on the path less trodden. This is my New Year Wish for you.
