Senate Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki has cautioned Mt Kenya residents against voting for National Super Alliance (NASA) in the forthcoming polls.

Kindiki said the Opposition leaders have not done anything for the region since their days in government and should not dupe residents they will bring development now.

"All of them have been in government for years and we have nothing to show for their leadership. They should not hoodwink you with false promises ahead of August elections," said Kindiki.

The lawmaker was speaking during the official launch of Chuka/Igambang'ombe MP Muthomi Njuki's strategic plan at Marimanti, Tharaka Nithi County on Saturday.

The Senator urged the residents to rally behind President Uhuru Kenyatta and support his reelection bid saying the region is experiencing growth as a result of good leadership.

“All of us here only recognise President Uhuru’s Jubilee Party. Jubilee is an organised outfit that has a clear agenda. We are like an army and are led by Uhuru, unlike a rudderless NASA who are yet to decide their presidential candidate,” said Kindiki as quoted by The Standard.
