Recently elected members of parliament have been ordered to submit their CVs before the Thursday swearing in.

The documents will be presented to Parliament clerks.

The move is aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability to the public.

"As part of accountability to the public, their bio data will be captured on the day of orientation and will be posted on the website so that no one will have issues knowing our leaders,” National Assembly Clerk Michael Sialai stated.

This proposal had been made in May but the MPs agreed to suspend the requirement until after the August 8 General Election.
