A 29-year-old widow is in need of Sh500,000 to enable her undergo an operation to remove a brain tumor.
Auma Wandera from Mayenje in Matayos, Busia said she was diagnosed with the brain tumor at Jamu Imaging Centre in Busia town in November last year where she had sought for a CT scan.
She said the brain tumor has led to persistent headaches, loss of vision, memory lapse and collapsing due to epilepsy.
Auma appealed to well-wishers to help her undergo an urgent surgery to save her life, adding that her left eye can no longer see while her body is generally week.
Her Safaricom pay bill number is 777515 and Account No. 0480191291709.
Busia County Director of Medical Services Dr Janerose Ambuchi said Auma can seek the services of Eldoret-based Neurosurgeon Dr Florentius Koech or Kenyatta National Hospital.
"The growth of the tumor is exerting pressure on the brain that has resulted in the woman suffering side effects like headache and memory lapse, adding that the condition will return to normal after the operation," Dr Ambuchi said.
Auma said her husband who died in April last year left her with one child and expecting a baby who is now four months old.
"I started feeling headache in 201i. I visited many hospitals including Tororo, in Uganda. I could be diagnosed with malaria, typhoid and sometimes the tests turned negative. It was not until the CT scan that the tests revealed I had brain tumor," she said.
Auma's aunt Roseta Emoto said as the bread winner for Auma and her two children, she has no means of raising the amount for the operation.
