Most widowers in Kisii County commit suicide because of being stressed and confused.

This is according to their chairman James Sindega who now wants Kisii County Governor James Ongwae to consider allocating funds to their kitty so as they start small businesses.

"Most men who have lost their wives are facing a financial crisis. For this reason, Governor Ongwae should come up with a kitty similar to that of widows, the disabled and the aged," he said.

He accused the county and national governments for sidelining widowers.

He wondered why both governments were not keen on ensuring that widowers are also sorted despite them participating in elections.

Mr Sindega urged the members of the county assembly to include their budget this year.
