Mwingi Central Member of parliament Gideon Mulyungi’s wife, Doreen Gatwiri has accused him of assault.
Gatwiri claimed that the lawmaker has been physically assaulting her at their Karen Home.
She aired her plight through Kilimani mums Facebook page where she requested for advise on the best step she can take over the matter.
Gatwiri alleged that the man left him with head and knee injuries following a domestic quarrel.
She, however, did not reveal the cause of the assault.
“Writing this with a lot of fear. My life is in danger. This evening at about 9.50pm my husband MWINGI CENTRAL MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT GIDEON MULYUNGI assaulted me at our Karen Home and I sustained head injuries at the back of my ear resulting to my left ear going numb,” she wrote.
She said she recorded the matter at Hardy Police Station in Nairobi.
Gatwiri said she feels scared following the horrible incident.
Her plight comes at a time when activists and other personalities have been fighting domestic violence in many marriages.
