Farmers in Keiyo South are living in fear after a wild cat killed at least 100 sheep in the past three weeks.
On Tuesday night the cat did strike again killing seven more sheep.
"We have been asking Kenya Wildlife Services to help contain the wild cats but they have not been able to assist," said one of the farmers.
"We depend on these sheep for all our financial needs. We will be forced to hunt down and kill these wild animals if KWS is not ready to help," he added.
The killings have now left the farmers with a Sh600,000 loss.
However, KWS senior warden in the Elgeyo Marakwet region Mr John Ngalia said they are on course to hunt the wild cat and also said the victims will be compensated.
“We are urging farmers to report to KWS immediately when wild animals kill their animals. Most of them report to the media even beforetalking to us,” Ngalia said.
