This year's Maasai Mara wildebeest migration will be live streamed across the globe for five days.
The live streaming by Wild Earth and Herd Tracker kicked off on Tuesday and the exercise is set to be concluded on September 25, 2016.
According to Wild Earth CEO Graham Wallington, the live stream is to enable the whole world have an experience of the migration that has been classified as the seventh wonder of the world.
He said that live stream will even go into the night.
"After the sun has gone down, we are going to use infrared lighting and thermal imaging," said Wallington in a statement.
On his part, HerdTracker CEO Andre Kets said that the live stream is a way of marketing Kenya as a tourist destination.
"We want to show the world just why they need to witness the migration for themselves.The wildebeest migration is one of nature's greatest spectacles. The river crossing are the main reasons why thousands of travellers flock to the Maasai Mara every year," he said.
The live broadcasts will be aired daily on Herdtracker's Facebook page and WildEarth's Youtube Channel between 4pm and 11:30pm.
