Some people have started calling for the closer of schools to end the unrest that has engulfed the education sector.
It is ironical to call for the closer of schools without measures on how we can curb this menace.
Does it mean that when schools are closed and students go home we will get a solution to what is happening?
Instead of Stakeholders accusing each other, they should come up with measures which will help end the menace in our schools.
Of course, schools have been affected by fire let the stakeholders first identify the cause then call for the closer of schools.
In Kisii, some students have been at home from the time their schools were affected by fire for example Itierio Boys.
Since then I have never heard any leader talking about how these student needs to go back to school and prepare for final examination instead they are calling for the closer of other schools.
It seems that some stakeholders are aware of what is causing fires in our schools but they don’t what to come out clear and say what it is.
Others have been accusing the CS Education Fred Matiang’i that the reforms in the ministry are to blame but in my opinion, it is the stakeholders who have failed in addressing the matter.
