Rosemary Wanjiru 6, from Makongeni in the outskirt of Thika town narrated a poem that touched the many hearts of the public during the celebrations to mark the 51st Jamhuri day at Thika Municipal stadium on Friday.

The Kenyatta Primary School pupil in her poem condemned ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda for having no evidence in taming Uhuru at The Hague in Netherlands.

She decries that the cause of Al-Shabaab attack and terrorism is a result of lack of concentration by his Excellency in the country due to the ICC summon at The Hague.

The class one pupil condemned the outside forces which were pushing for the president not to vie for the presidency due to land grabbing issues in Taita Taveta in 2012/2013 general election that their plans failed and will never succeed.

In an exclusive interview, Wanjiru told the press that her only dream is to meet the country boss in statehouse to hail him for his hard work and ‘just’ to recite her little poem.

“I wish one day I will meet Uhuru and congratulate him for his hard work in Kenya and just to recite him my poem ‘My President, My choice’,” she said.

The ‘small’ dream of the child was seconded by her choreographer who is her mother, Ruth Wairimu 36 who told the press that the first dream of her child was achieved when she recited the poem to the District County Commissioner (DCC) Jeremiah Gicheru which she believes it will encourage her to pursue her talent.

The mother of three said that her daughter showed interest in poetry from last year and as a teacher, she decided to support her by preparing and coaching her on what to present to her audience.
