Following the popular exit of Isaack Hassan and fellow commissioners from their Anniversary Towers offices, there is a rising wave of speculation on whether the embattled IEBC boss will venture into Garissa political space.
A section of Garissa residents feel Hassan has learnt a lot from the electoral office and his entry into politics might be a walk over to him.
Though the Garissa man has never hinted on getting into politics, expert political analysts argue that he stands a good chance of getting elected if he chooses to contest for an elective seat.
As Peter Kimani, a Garissa-based analyst puts, the anti-IEBC demos that rocked the country sometimes this year gave the latter much popularity.
"The opposition's anti-IEBC demonstrations largely advertised the name of Isaac Hassan. If he ever makes up his mind to venture into politics, his will be a walk over. He will need to just sell his manifesto. He is already famous," Kimani says.
However, since the IEBC official has not hinted on his future after his current job, what now remains of the speculations is just but a wait-and-see possibility.
