As president Kenyatta is expected to visit the Eastern parts, Jubilee government would be targeting the 'Ukambani' votes come 2017. With many critics and possibly from opposition leaders from Eastern region, Jubilee may manage to win the residents to vote for Jubilee leadership come 2017.
Last month, the president was expected to lead the Jubilee government on a tour to the Eastern region but was cancelled due to some circumstances, but it is now time for the president to make the long awaited visit to the region.
Despite the fact that there will political attacks in the region with limited support politically, but people from the region may feel that the government of the day has not forgotten them.
The presidential tour to the region will bring about goodies to the people as roads, hospitals, water, schools and power connection projects will be launched which the region has been lacking for sometime.
The projects to be launched by president in return may be a win for the Jubilee government over Cord to be voted by locals from the region in 2017.
Eastern parts is known as the opposition grassroots but Jubilee's tour to the region will sound a political threat to Cord, opposition.
It is good for the people from the region to appreciate and acknowledge the efforts that the government and leaders are putting to ensure that there is equal share of resources country wide.
