From the onset, let us first agree that NASA will not have any function at Uhuru Park today Tuesday.
Anybody who has been in Kenya long enough understands that any government in power uses all it can to ensure that it remains in office.
Any threats to its legality are always met with a ruthless hand so strong to wade of the opposition as well as any other possibility of the scenario recurring in future.
Swearing in NASA leader Raila Odinga is something that will doubtlessly pose a threat to the control President Uhuru Kenyatta has over the country.
He will therefore resort to the state machinery to fight the opposition.
With the tough-talking Interior CS Fred Matiang'iin control of the police, a heavy guard is expected to be deployed at the venue.
Furthermore, the government is said to be planning a house arrest for Raila and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka.
All these so that the ceremony does not materialise.
The only chance Raila has, if he will not be under arrest, is to organise the swearing-in from another secret location but not Uhuru Park.
