If you thought that it is only life in Kibera that is tough, you have not seen the world.
Tough life is not just for the jobless, even those with prestigious offices and big jobs go through tough times, sometimes even worse.
The rich, as they say, also cry.
This seems to be the case at the helm of Nairobi county.
Barely two months after deputy governor Polycarp Igathe left the office over frustration at the workplace, Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has also hinted that he is warming up for a resignation.
In an early morning post on Facebook, Sonko lamented that the job as governor was beginning to overwhelm him and that he was planning to seek advice from Nairobi residents over the best step to take.
This therefore leads us to the question, what is the hidden challenge facing leaders at the top of Nairobi county?
After Igathe became the first deputy governor to resign, will Sonko now follow suit and become the first governor in the history of the country to resign?
