Raila Odinga is no stranger to political controversy. In fact , he is a hardened veteran of the dark dungeons of the infamous Nyayo House Chambers where political detainees of the yesteryears had to be ordained into the priesthood of struggle.
This time round, Raila has made a big political gamble that risks sending him back to the old dungeons at Nyayo or the hardcore cells at Kodiaga.Raila should not underestimate Kenya's law when it comes to reigning in of political rogues and those who choose to wade against the tides.
Good enough, Raila is no stranger to the dungeons of our incarceration centres. Me thinks that by the end of today, Raila will pay homage to one of the cold cells of our prisons.
Attorney General Githu Muigai has repeatedly warned that anybody swearing himself in will, at the worst, have the hangman's noose beautifully adorning his like like a pilgrim's rosary.That Raila may be forced to spend the remainder of his life in jail or probably face the death penalty is sad indeed.
I plead with Baba to spare his neck from the tight grip of noose man's rope.I plead too with Kalonzo Musyoka to live to fight another day. If need be though, we should be prepared to mourn Baba if he will take himself to the hangman.
