Garissa Township Member of Parliament and House Majority leader Aden Duale will know his fate today as the petition seeking to annul his reelection is decided today.
The petition was lodged by former Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim who contends that Duale's reelection was marred by irregularities and illegalities.
The outspoken House Majority leader has maintained that his reelection on August 8, 2017, was conducted in strict accordance with the dictates of the constitution.
Duale and Farah are national leaders and it would be interesting to see how the courts rule on the matter.
Speaking yesterday on a local television programme, Farah expressed hope that he would be vindicated by the courts.
