Controversial gospel artist, Willy Paul has finally made his long predicted entry to the world of secular music.
After weeks of uncertainty on the next move, the former gospel icon took to his Facebook and Twitter handles to break the news to his fans. Wilson Radido, his real name, hinted on Monday, through his Facebook post that he is headed to be the Kenya's Vybz Kartel.
The twenty-three-year-old musician said he is aware of the various theories that will sprout after his hearty decision. He was quick to point out he does not care what the church and the society will say due to his turnover.
The news sparked diverse opinions from social media fans with some indicating that signs had hinted on the artist's exit from gospel music. Others still view the post as a prank while insisting that he is still into gospel tunes.
Willy hopes to venture into dancehall despite his concerns that it is against losing the grip on God’s will. His main reason for exiting the gospel industry, according to the Facebook update, is because the gospel industry is already too crowded. Furthermore, he said that he is tired of fighting with his brother, Bahati, who is one of the best gospel musician.
