[Photo|Nyong'o Communication Unit]Kisumu County Governor Prof Anyang' Nyong'o signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a Chinese Investor Company to establish a multi billion modern fish processing plant in Kisumu.The MoU signed on Monday followed weeks of consultations.The company will process and export fish to the international market and also ensure enough consumption for the local market through cage farming in Lake Victoria. The company will also assist small scale fish farmers produce better quality and quantity by protecting their businesses and providing ready market for their produce.The plant is expected to create job opportunities for over Sh500 residents of the Lakeside City of Kisumu.During the partnership, Nyong'o was accompanied by his Advisor on Investment and Resource Mobilization Victor Nyagaya Urban Planning, Land and Housing CeC Nerry Achar, and the City Manager Doris Ombara.
