[Photo/Citizen Digital]The High court has on Tuesday suspended a ban on the National Super Alliance (Nasa) anti-IEBC demonstrations. The ban in the CBDs of Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu was ordered last week by the Acting Interior cabinet secretary Fred Matiang'i.Despite the ban, the opposition supporters and their leaders have been taking to the streets in their push to have IEBC officials who are believed to have bungled the election sent home.Nasa had termed the ban as illegal. The protests were however called off on Tuesday to allow the Nasa leaders attend to demonstrators who were hurt in the Monday's demos."The National Super Alliance NASA has decided to call off all the anti IEBC protests scheduled for Tuesday, October 17, 2017. This is a temporary step to enable the coalition to attend to the supporters who were brutalized and hurt and families that lost loved ones today after police and State-protected goons descended on protesters and NASA leaders," Raila Odinga's spokesman Dennis Onyango said in a statement, Monday. The protests will resume on Wednesday.
