The structure was completely destroyed after the wind blew off the roof on Wednesday evening.

"We are shocked by the incident, it is not normal for wind to blow off the entire roof of a structure and cause such damages," said an eyewitness David Mwadime.

Mwadime said the wind carried away the roof and threw its iron sheets and timber used to make it several metres away from the school.

He said the teachers' vehicles which had been parked at the shed during the incident were coincidentally not damaged.

Mwadime said some of the blown iron sheets and timber blocked the Nyambura - Site Estate roads.

He said there was no injury that was reported during the incident.

"The structure protects our children during rainy and sunny seasons especially in the afternoons,"said Beatrice Kaluki, one of the parents.

The parents urged the government to help in reconstructing the structure.
