The Wiper Democratic Movement party appointed new members to the National Elections Board (NEB).
The party's secretary general Mombasa senator Hassan Omar said party officials met on December 22, 2016, and appointed five members to the Board, to ensure the party conducts free and transparent nominations ahead of the August 8, polls.
"Those appointed include: Hassan Sheikh Ali (Elections Board chairman), Ms Agatha Solitei (vice chairperson) and Alphan Ahamed Shikeli the (Board's secretary),'' Omar told the press Wednesday.
Other members appointed to the Wiper party National Elections Board include; Thomas Ombati, and Charlse Kaloki.
The Board chairman Ali assured party members and aspirants of credible nominations, and vowed to ensure violent-free nominations in-readiness for the general elections.
"Kenyans have been crying for justice. We want justice to begin right from party nominations. We are going to deliver this,'' he said.
