Machakos gubernatorial hopeful on a Wiper ticket Wavinya Ndeti has lashed at Wiper defectors for cheap politics because she says it is Wiper that begged her to join them.
According to Wavinya, she joined Kalonzo Musyoka’s outfit after negotiations that involved top leadership of both parties and registrar of political authorized the agreement.
“I was a party leader of Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU). We negotiated with Wiper and they begged me to join them. We signed a coalition agreement that was registered at the registrar of political parties,” she said.
Meanwhile, Wavinya Ndeti’s political boat has been hit hard by what she terms as enemy storms. Speaking during a live interview, Ndeti said that whoever is questioning her loyalty to Wiper has other motives other than what has been filed in court.
“I belong to WDM and I am a life member. There is no way one can belong to two parties,” Wavinya said.
The former legislature was angered at how the matter was handled. Wavinya said that the proceedings that led to the cancelation of her clearance was done unconstitutionally. She wondered why the registra of political parties was not consulted.
“The registrar of political parties was not represented. The IEBC did not consult him. What went wrong after IEBC cleared me?” Wavinya quizzed.
