A big blow has hit Machakos gubernatorial candidate Wavinya Ndeti after the IEBC disqualified her candidature for the seat after it emerged that she still belongs to two political parties after being cleared to vie.
However, Wavinya stated in a quick rejoinder that she will petition the IEBC decision in a court of law.
Fresh details have also emerged concerning the disqualification of Ndeti, where political pundits, lawyer Judah Kioko and professor Edward Kisiangani stated that leaders in the Wiper Party may have had a hand in the fall of Ndeti.
"The leader of Wiper Party is a lawyer, how is it possible that they could give Wavinya a party nomination when they knew IEBC could not clear a candidate who belongs to two political party," said Kioko.
"I can also see the hand of one Johnstone Muthama in the fall od Wavinya," he added.
"I feel justice has not been done. It looks like someone is targeting Wavinya Ndeti," said Kisiangani.
