Former Lamu Women Representative Shakila Abdalla has asked NASA supporters and politicians to stop condemning Kalonzo Musyoka after he skipped Raila Odinga’s inauguration as the people’s president on Tuesday.

Speaking to journalists in Lamu Town on Wednesday, Shakilla asked supporters to listen to the explanation being given by the Wiper leader for his absence.

Shakila while defending Kalonzo’s absence said that the former Vice President had been committed to their swearing-in and the explanation he is giving for his absence is genuine.

“Condemning, criticizing and abusing Kalonzo Musyoka without listening to him is unfair, let’s give him a chance to explain what happened,” she said on Wednesday.

The Wiper Party deputy leader said that Kalonzo heart and mind is in opposition contrary to social media claims that he has links with Jubilee.

Shakila warned that NASA will not achieve its electoral reforms agenda if leaders are divided.

“We must unite despite the criticism and push the reforms agenda forward for the sake out beloved country and Kenyans,” she said.

Kalonzo alongside Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula skipped Raila’s Tuesday swearing in at Uhuru Park.

The Wiper leader has been receiving sharp criticism from NASA supporters and politicians who have labeled him a traitor.The former Vic President has however defended himself saying that an unavoidable circumstances made him skip the swearing in.

On Wednesday in an interview with a local Kamba nation, Kalonzo said that he is ready to take oath maintain that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government remains illegitimate.

Raila took oath on Tuesday as the peoples’ president on front of thousands of supporters who had thronged Uhuru park grounds to witness the coronation.

The government had termed the swearing in illegal and highly treasonous.
