[Photo: Raila Odinga]Wiper Democratic Movement - Kenya has disowned remarks by National Assembly Minority Leader, Francis Nyenze, after he publicly endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election bid.Wiper Chief Executive Officer Dr Jared Maaka said Nyenze's sentiments are not in any way associated with Wiper's political stand.In a statement, Monday, Maaka emphasised that Wiper was a party to the Opposition's Nasa, and reiterated the president's failed development record, since his Jubilee administration ascended to power in 2013.He further warned that the party disciplinary committee will summon Nyenze, for an explanation over his weekend remarks, where he asked residents in his Kitui West constituency, to support Uhuru citing his development record.Over the weekend, Nyenze alongside Kitui gubernatorial aspirant senator David Musila asked voters to vote for president Uhuru, which against their party's laws.Musila defected from Wiper, and declared his independent candidature, after failing to secure a party ticket for the Kitui gubernatorial bid.
