Speaking in Kiusyani, Kitui Central constituency where he has toured to popularize Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement, Mutua has assured his supporters that he will not be intimidated by the threats of the MCAs to relent in his quest to develop the county.

Mutua, who is set to defend his gubernatorial seat in the next general polls, has affirmed that Wiper Party Leaders will not bring him down.

“I can speak with authority that the Wiper party has paid Sh10 million to Machakos Members of County Assembly to impeach me,” said Mutua, as quoted by Capital FM.

The outspoken governor said that he has enough information that the leaders have been given the money to smoke him from office. He also lashed out at Wiper for concentrating on politics of poverty instead of matters to do with development of the region.

“Wiper needs to be told that they will fail because their politics of poverty has no place in modern Kenya,” said Mutua.

The MCAs have accused the governor of poor leadership, corruption, abuse of office and failure to adhere to right procurement procedures as stipulated in the law.
