Musila says that Wiper party still dominates the Ukambani politics.

He said that Mutua’s party cannot be compared to Kalonzo’s Wiper.

According to the Star,  Musila further noted that Mutua’s recent tour of Kitui did not manage to woo locals out of Wiper.

Musila says that Mutua’s trip to sell his party to Kitui locals did not have an impact.

He stated that Kitui locals are still loyal to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and no amount of influence can change their minds.

“Governor Mutua’s tour of Kitui region did not have any political impact,” he said during a rally at Kitui town on Monday.

The Wiper Party chairman stated that Wiper is still dominant in Kitui and large Ukambani region.

He laughed off speculations that Mutua has convinced locals not to support Kalonzo Musyoka. “Kitui locals cannot be confused and influenced by cheap propaganda,” he said.

The Kitui senator, however stated that Mutua or any other politician has a right to campaign in the county.

Last week Mutua pitched camp in Kitui popularizing his Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement.

Mutua held several meetings with locals also campaigned for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.

The Machakos governor castigated Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka who he claimed is to blame for high poverty levels in Ukambani.

Mutua alleged that despite being in government for many years the Wiper leader has not done anything for locals.

Governor Mutua warned locals against voting for leaders who he said are enemies of development. The Machakos governor  appealed to Kenyans to vote in leaders who have vision for development.
