Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has supported efforts made by opposition chief Raila Odinga to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta for the sake of uniting Kenyans.
Kalonzo said the efforts were made in good faith and leaders against the initiative are out to divide Kenyans who have a long history of mistrust and fighting especially during election time.
"What my brother Raila did should be lauded by all Kenyans," he said as he spoke at a funeral service in Mwingi Central on Saturday.
"Time has come for us to bury our differences, embrace one another and champion for development."
A section of leaders from across the political divide including ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula have been criticizing Raila over his decision to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta and former presidents Daniel Arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki without their involvement as NASA co-principals.
The two, alongside other NASA as well as Jubilee MPs are against what they call the 'golden handshakes' which they treat as a ploy to deny Deputy President William Ruto the opportunity to succeed Uhuru in 2022.
Kalonzo said Raila is still firmly in NASA and all the coalition's principals have never indicated ditching the country's largest opposition coalition.
