[Photo|ODM]Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM-K) plans to unveil plans to have a bigger say in the opposition's NASA coalition.Makueni Governor Prof Kivutha Kibwana told a local daily that the party wants to ensure Musyoka is well positioned in Nasa ahead of the 2022 race. This came out during a retreat by Wiper elected leaders on Thursday in Athi River, Machakos County."We want to play an active role in NASA going forward. We have a huge stake in a stronger Nasa. We are looking at this in both short and long term,” said the two-time governor who noted that the leaders had also discussed lack of a clear, broad and consultative post-election strategy for NASA.A senior politician who attended the meeting told the Standard that Wiper's 2022 position was made after serious concerns about the manner in which the ODM wing of Nasa was treating Wiper, including in parliamentary leadership positions. The WDM-K elected leaders are also said to be apprehensive of the new National Resistance Movement wing of Nasa. They are said to be afraid that NRM could overrule the MoU which identifies Kalonzo as the automatic presidential flag bearer after Odinga.
