A Wiper senatorial aspirant was on Wednesday charged with creating a disturbance.

He is accused of disrupting voting during the party’s nominations in Mombasa.

Jabess Oduor, the Kongowea Ward MCA, who appeared before Mombasa Senior Principal Magistrate Henry Nyakweba, was also charged with obstructing a police officer.

He is accused of committing the offence on April 18 at Fahari Primary School in Kiziwi, Mombasa County.

He was released on a Sh100,000 bond with a surety of the same amount or an alternative of Sh50,000 cash bail.

The case will be mentioned on May 8.
