He said the impeachment Motion will fail as majority of the MCAs at the County Assembly support him.

"There are MCAs from Wiper party who have disturbed me for many years," he said during his tour of Kitui.

"They ran and sponsored an impeachment Motion and leveled other falsehoods because they see me doing good work."

"They thought I am scared and that I would abandon my Kitui tour and return to Machakos. Am not returning, am not scared, let them continue because the MCAs on my side are majority. They are just prostitutes of poverty."

The county chief is facing an impeachment from a section of MCAs said to be allied to Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Mutua, who was elected in 2013 on a Wiper party ticket has since abandoned the party and joined the Maendeleo ChapChap movement.

"They are not happy when they see Machakos residents get development. We shall defeat them."

He said all the MCAs against his leadership in the county will not be reelected in 2017.

Mutua has had a frosty relationship with Mr Kalonzo and Senator Johnston Muthama.

The two are said to be shopping for a stronger candidate to face off with Mr Mutua in 2017.
