Mavoko MP Patrick Makau has told off a section of Kamba elders asking Kalonzo Musyoka to ditch NASA.
Speaking in Mlolongo Town on Saturday, Makau said that calls for Kalonzo to dump NASA are misplaced.
He said that dumping NASA is not a good idea for the former Vice President who is expected to fly the Alliance presidential ticket in 2022.
"I don't agree with some elders, opinion shapers and analysts who are asking and advising Kalonzo to ditch NASA," he said.
Makau said that the elders advise is not wise, adding that Kalonzo and Wiper will remain in NASA.
"Kalonzo has an agreement with NASA affiliate parties that will see him fly the alliance ticket in 2022 and asking him to ditch the coalition is not being wise at all," he said.
Makau asked the Kamba elders and locals to unite and support Kalonzo instead of issuing misplaced advise.
The Wiper MP exuded confidence that Kalonzo will contest the 2022 presidential seat on NASA ticket.
"What we know is that Raila Odinga has promised and guaranteed to support Kalonzo in 2022," he said.
Makau dismissed claims of Wiper being discontented in NASA, saying that the party is committed to the coaltion agenda.
Last week, a section of Kamba elders in Machakos asked Konzo to ditch NASA.
The elders claimed that the former Vice President is wasting time in the Raila Odinga led coalition.
The elders also cautioned Kalonzo against agreeing to take oath as the people's deputy president claiming that it is a ploy by Raila to end his political career.
On Thursday during a consultative meeting in Athi River, Wiper party leaders maintained that they are in NASA and commited on the colaition reforms agenda.
Kalonzo has been under criticism with claims that Raila might not endorse him in 2022 after he skipped his inauguration as the people's president on January 30.
