Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has dismissed claims by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko that his law firm Momanyi Orori has been colluding with cartels to swindle money from City Hall.
The Wiper Party MP said Sonko’s claims are baseless, false and misleading.
“Sonko should stop misleading Kenyans that my law firm has been swindling funds from City Hall in collaboration with cartels. The integrity of my law firm will not be compromised by the false allegations the Governor is trying to come up with,” he said.
The lawmaker added that his law firm has never been involved in dubious ways and businesses with the Nairobi based cartels.
He challenged Governor Sonko to concentrate in serving the people of Nairobi or resign if he is unable to work.
“Sonko has two options to work or resign and stop dragging people to his failures. The people of Nairobi will regret electing a failure due to fame. Fame and leadership are two different things and Sonko will not perform because he won the elections due to his fame,” said the MP.
