The Wiper MP, whose constituency has been hard hit by cases of cattle rusling, has been improvising methods to defeat the vice.

"I am not happy seeing livestock belonging to my people being stolen by bandits. Locals who report to police the criminals stealing livestock will get a reward of their choice from me because some criminals are hiding in the villages to steal cattle at night,” he said.

He asked police to maintaining a good working relationship with residents to end cattle rustling.

"A good working relationship between police officers and locals will end cattle rustling in Borabu which has been rampant in the past few months," he said.

Momanyi urged local chiefs to be more vigilant in villages to help police officers fighting cattle rustling to flush the criminals from the villages.
