Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) has been the latest political outfit to reject the proposal to have IEBC conduct party primaries across the country.
Party chairman David Musila has said that the yet to be formed commission will have a lot on its hands and conducting primaries will inconvenience the electoral body ahead of the next general election.
The Kitui Senator has however proposed that party primaries be conducted internally.
Musila was speaking at the Women’s Sacco fund raiser in Kyuso, Mwingi North constituency on Saturday.
The legislator took the opportunity to assure Wiper members that nomination process will be free and fair and anybody was free to express his or her political ambition.
Deputy President William Ruto had earlier proposed that all parties should contract IEBC during the primaries in order to boost the confidence in the body while at the same time avoiding cases of foul crying from leaders who will lose out.
