A Nyamira based Wiper party politician Victor Swanya has faulted NASA chief Raila Odinga for 'betraying' NASA coalition when he met president Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday.
Swanya said Raila’s meeting with Uhuru is a clear indication that NASA will be no more in 2022 politics.
"Raila’s meeting with Uhuru came by a surprise. The ODM leader has not only betrayed NASA co-principals but also NASA supporters,” said Swanya.
The vocal politician said Raila should not be trusted as the opposition leader because he has proved to be a self-centered leader.
"It is time Kalonzo, Wetengula and Mudavadi to team up and decide who will carry the opposition flag in 2022. The Raila led ODM party should be left out because the party has always claimed to be superior to other parties making up NASA,” he said.
He regretted that many NASA supporters died while protesting against the corrupt Jubilee regime but Raila will not take into consideration the deaths of opposition supporters when he decided to meet Uhuru.
"Uhuru issued orders to police to shoot and kill NASA supporters. It is a big shame for Raila to openly declare that he is ready to work with the same regime that killed hundreds of opposition supporters during the protests to remove IEBC officials,” added Swanya.
