A Nyamira County based politician has claimed that Interior Cs Fred Matiang'i does not represent the face of Gusii people.
Victor Swanya, who unsuccessfully vied for Kitutu Masaba MP seat on a Wiper ticket said Matiang'i is serving in the Jubilee government as an individual but not as the Gusii community.
"Matiang'i is serving in the Jubilee regime as an individual. Those saying he is representing the Gusii community should stop misleading the people," he said
He claimed that Matiang'i is only using force especially when dealing with opposition leaders.
"Matiang'i is taking the country into the dark days where police used to blackmail and intimidate people," he added.
The politician urged elected leaders to focus on serving the people and shun divisive politics for the sake of improving lifestyles of the Gusii people.
"As we look forward to find a community spokesperson, I am urging leaders to deliver to improve lives of our people," he added.
