Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper Democratic Movement party is set to reap massively in regions that are predominantly ODM zones.
Already, top leaders from Nyamira and Kisii counties have decamped to the umbrella party on fear that they will be shortchanged in Orange party nominations.
Also in the list of beneficiaries are Ford Kenya and Amani National Congress which are all associated with Raila Odinga's ODM.
"It is natural that ODM will have fierce nominations and the safest option would be Wiper. Those who feel that they could be shortchanged have already made decision," said Gideon Mamboleo.
In Nyamira, retired judge Anasi Onyancha joined Wiper while former Kititu Masaba MP Mwancha Okioma went to Ford Kenya.
Kisii County 2013 gubernatorial runners up Patrick Lumumba has since left Jubilee for the Wiper party.
In the event that pressure becomes too much for Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka in ODM, sources indicate that he is considering Wiper.
Both Kalonzo and Moses Wetangula have visisted the two counties and have openly supported a number of candidates for various positions.
In 2017, ODM lost a number parliamentary seats to Ford Kenya after the eventual winners decamped due to allegedly fraudulent nominations with Kisumu Town west of Olago Oluoch being among them.
