The Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya National Elections Board intends to receive applications, in prescribed forms, for the positions of governors, senators, Women representatives, Members of Parliament and Members of the County Assembly.
Secretary general Hassan Omar said aspirants must each submit an application letter demonstrating contribution made to the wellbeing of their immediate community, a Curriculum Vitae with supporting documents attached, duly completed nomination form in triplicate, and a copy of national identification card or valid passport
"Other requirements include submission of copies of Wiper Democratic Movement-K life Membership Certificate and payment slip for both Nomination and Membership fees, plus duly completed Ethics and Code of Conduct form,'' he said.
He noted that all current governors, senators, MPs, Women Reps, and MCAs must get their clearance certificate from the party Secretariat.
"Applicants must not be in arrears of any contributions to the Wiper Party, and all aspirants must satisfy all requirements of the Kenya Constitution 2010 Chapter Six,'' said the Mombasa senator during a National Executive Council meeting.
The deadline for the applications is February 15, 2017.
