Mombasa gubernatorial aspirants from the Wiper Democratic Movement, have vowed to deal with incumbent ODM's Ali Hassan Joho.

This is after the ODM deputy party leader said he had opponents from the Opposition, who would make him leave office, in August 8.

Joho dismissed gubernatorial ambitions of Wiper secretary general Mombasa senator Hassan Omar and his partner, Nyali MP Hezron Awiti, saying they were his good friends.

Omar dismissed Joho's sentiments, and accused him of 'hiding' behind ODM party leader Raila Odinga, for political mileage.

According to Omar, Joho should not underestimate his rivals, saying Wiper was popular in Coast region, and would clinch the Mombasa governor's post in August.

Omar and Awiti have vowed to walk together, to ensure Joho goes home.

The governor is however optimistic of re-election, saying his Jubilee rival, Suleiman Shahbal, was the only person, he should think about.

Joho was speaking over the weekend when he landed from his two-weeks US tour.
