Wiper Democratic Movement of Kenya (WDM-K) has ruled out a coalition government as the solution to pull the country out of the ongoing political crisis.
Jubilee politicians have been accusing the Opposition of scheming to delay the repeat presidential election with an intention of sharing power with President Uhuru Kenyatta-led administration.
"NASA will not let go of its rightful demand for the presidency for a coalition government. Wiper Party will not be party to that," said acting secretary general Peter Mathuki, as quoted by The Nation.
Mathuki accused Jubilee of forcing the country into a situation that could culminate in the formation of the coalition by opposing NASA demands for electoral reforms ahead of the fresh election.
"Jubilee is inviting trouble to the country that may lead to formation of 'nusu-mkate' government," he said.
"All NASA is asking for is a level playing field. But because Jubilee has refused to accept the verdict of the court, they are now using the same people at the commission who helped them rig to repeat the theft so that they are vindicated that they never lost on August 8," the Kalonzo Musyoka-led party official was further quoted by the local daily.
The Opposition in their demands termed 'irreducible minimums', want among other things, the sacking of IEBC secretariat CEO Ezra Chiloba and other 11 electoral officials, who they accuse of bungling last month poll.
