Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has rubbished claims making rounds on social media that the Wiper Party leadership plans to pull out of the opposition coalition NASA.Kibwana said Wednesday that Wiper is a primary founder of NASA and the last thing the party would do is to abandon the coalition. The county boss was responding to claims that the Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's absence during former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's swearing-in as the people's president meant the party was contemplating quitting NASA."Whoever thinks that Wiper is planning to quit NASA will wait for that to happened for their lifetime," Kibwana told journalists in Wote town."Wiper is in NASA to stay and all our four principals are together. They are inseparable," he added.During Raila’s inauguration, the opposition chief defended Kalonzo's absence at the ceremony saying he had an issue that would not allow him to attend the event and subsequently get sworn in as his running mate."Kalonzo is not here because of events that took place, you will know later... he will be sworn-in later," Raila said.Kalonzo who was criticised by opposition supporters for skipping the event at Uhuru Park, hours after Raila's inauguration defended himself saying: "Yesterday, January 29, 2018 as the four NASA Principals we had a lengthy meeting where we revisited the controversial Election of 8th August 2018, which was nullified by the Supreme Court, as well as the boycotted election of 26 October 2017 and our reform agenda and in particular electoral justice, among other important issues."“We agreed to meet again this morning. However, due to circumstances beyond our comprehension and control, the four of us did not assemble as planned."
